In Uganda there is a gab for an affordable new laptop with guarantee, right now most of the universities are changing policies where by each student is required to report with laptop to aid in learning. However, there is still a big challenge of new laptops being very expensive, that parents are left with no option other than buying laptop they can afford in this case it is a refurbished/second hand laptop. These laptops are not long lasting have battery degradation, not good on performance, emits radiation rays because of depreciation rate and are not good for the environment.

To make matters worse the refurbished laptops parents buy require constant servicing and repairing, regularly because of aforementioned disadvantage thus making the acquired refurbished laptop expensive in the long run.
