TRAINING WOMEN AND YOUTH ON USE OF TECHNOLOGY:
Through researched data and experience, it is very evident that there is a high change in use of technology and the way business is being handled. An average woman is finding it hard to keep up with the changing norm of use of online services, leave alone the fact that there is change in government business operations where they have all put their portals online. An average woman finds themselves spending so much on a consultant to file for them different requirements per year and per month on the necessary portals because they are not equipped to do so.
More so women are having un necessary fear of technology! Compconsult Technologies strives to have hands on women trainings!
With the intention to make a laptop a friendly gadget to solve women issues Compconsult Technologies introduced different programs targeting women who are curious and are willing to overcome the fear of technology and have the zeal and run their business smoothly and take their business to the next chapter. The programs target the graduates, senior four leavers and senior six leavers, un employed people(youth), women in business, women wo are willing to start business, women who are innovative and ready to do hands on training, and people who are already in employment and are willing to learn.
The following courses are offered in the mentioned program
Government online portals: Here we shall use our expertise and experience to teach women how they can file for URSB RETURNS, URA VAT MONTHSLY RETURNS, applying for Tins, filing for income tax.
EGP- Electronic government procurement system: we train women on how they can access EGP, how they can do business with the government, how to submit bids and how to keep monitoring the progress of the submitted bids.
UN MARKET PLACE:UN focuses on giving women business, unfortunately most women don’t know how to access and submit bids on UNMG a portal that allows a woman to submit and compete for business worldwide. we have a section where we practically train women and do hand holding with them to submit various bids in the UN portal.
Online shops and websites: Online shops and websites: In this time and error, most people are finding it very convenient to order goods online. 2% percent of our dear women who own business business in Uganda a have online shops. most of them are not even equipped to know how to update prices if at all they own the online shops nor do they know how to do social media marketing! We at compconsult Upskill centre to equip these women on how they can design their online shops, do social media marketing boast their adverts through different portals and search engines so that their goods can be exposed to the public.
Marketing and client retention: Most business women in Uganda focus more on starting a business but once they have started, they don’t last more 5 years, simply because they lack skills to maintain their clients, understand and know them better! We have a course that is particularly addressing customer and market practices., entrepreneurship from idea to action, managing sales pipeline leads, user persona templates and market research. We believe with this, once equipped they will be able to thrive in their business
Money matters: Compconsult upskill centre has a course particularly for use of a simple system Marge that tracks sales, budgeting, budget analysis, has a cash burn rate calculator, revenue, costs, cashflow, simple asset depreciation calculator, orders visa vee supplies as well as phone application that helps them track their business on the go.
Women are multi taskers, we believe once they are equipped with system knowledge on how to enter the transactions anytime, their business with strive!! 80% of women business owners don’t have financial records, not because they don’t want, but they don’t know how to do them. we believe with this skill they will become better business women.
Talent development and staff retention:Talent development and staff retention: We believe a great human resource helps so much in business development. we as well have a course that tackles different topics such as motivating your people, performance management, talent reviews, goal setting, monitoring organisational climate, regular check ins and feedback from staff tools, coaching poor performers, and many more hands-on trainings to help our business women improve on their staff and grow with them in their business
Courses are all tailored with a duration on which upon examination under DIT a certificate is issued giving the trainer more recognition and taking their business to the next level.
